Crews heading to S.C. to help restore power
Power crews from Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky are heading to S.C. to help the state's electric cooperatives restore power after Hurricane Matthew. Nearly 100 people are traveling to the Palmetto State to assist co-op crews.
The storm is expected to affect the S.C. coast beginning Friday evening and continuing throughout the day Saturday.
Crews are coming from the following co-ops:
Plateau Electric Cooperative
Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative
Rappahannock Electric Cooperative
Northern Neck Electric Cooperative
Southside Electric Cooperative
Cumberland Valley Electric Cooperative
South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation
