                                  Drop Dead Time: 12:00

Event Summary:

This is a deenergized event.  Each apprentice will climb a 40’ pole equipped with 3-8’ crossarms.  The bottom crossarm will be mounted at 21’ (from ground) and will be equipped with a post-type polymer insulator on one side.  The middle arm will be mounted at 27’ (from ground) and will be equipped with a lightning arrestor on one end (copper will be attached to bottom of the arrestor).  The top crossarm will be mounted at 33’ (from ground) and will be equipped with a non-load break cutout mounted on both ends. A fuse barrel will be in the closed position in one of the cutouts. Each apprentice will be required to do the following:

Bottom Arm: relocate the post-type insulator assembly to the opposite side of the arm.

Middle Arm: relocate the lightning arrestor to the opposite side of the arm and connect the copper ground.

Top arm: relocate the fuse barrel from one cutout to the other with the provided shotgun stick and close.

**Note: All L-brackets in use for the arrestors and cutouts shall remain stationary throughout the event. Lock nuts will not be used in this event.**
